GetCartIQ ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by Ignite the Spark Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the GetCartIQ app and website at getcartiq.co.
1. Information We Collect
- Location (ZIP code): We use your ZIP code to show grocery store prices near you. We do not collect precise GPS location.
- Grocery list: Items you add to your list are stored locally on your device and optionally synced to our servers to enable the Smart Cart feature.
- Account information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and subscription status.
- Usage data: We collect anonymous analytics about which features are used to improve the app.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your precise GPS location
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties
- We do not collect payment card information (handled by Stripe)
- We do not track you across other apps or websites
3. How We Use Your Information
- To compare grocery prices at stores near you
- To save and sync your grocery list across devices
- To process subscription payments via Stripe
- To improve app performance and features
- To send you important service updates (no spam)
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by Render.com and Neon.tech in the United States. We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission. We retain your data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services.
5. Third-Party Services
- Stripe: Handles subscription payments. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Kroger API: Used to fetch real-time prices. No personal data is shared.
- Bright Data: Used for price scraping. No personal data is shared.
6. Children's Privacy
GetCartIQ is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

- Delete your account and data
